Chinese contemporary artist Liu Bolin, famous for the art of blending in to his surroundings, renders himself invisible for Moncler’s 2017-2018 Fall-Winter advertising campaign. Shot by American photographer Annie Leibovitz, Bolin stands camouflaged against the rugged Icelandic landscape, painted in shades of wintery grays and blues that match the glaciers and waters behind him. The campaign brings together man and nature in a harmonious yet surreal mise en scène.
Bolin, known as the Invisible Man, is no stranger to fashion shoots: he’s collaborated with fashion houses Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino in the past (see our past feature on him here). Enjoy the campaign pictures and some behind-the-scene shots below:
