With a startling modernist shell, this brilliant Brazilian condo is all about the symmetry and the angles, surely singlehandedly dragging up the real estate prices in its Ponta Negra neighbourhood just for the desire to live near it. Named the IF House, and brought to life by local firm Martins Lucena Arquitetos, the residential home was built for a young couple with two children. Inside, large rooms provide the ideal environment for a busy home life with an abundance of flowing space to accommodate the wandering ways of little people.
While the two-way relationship between the indoors and outdoors was important to the couple, who valued the idea of merging the interior with the garden space, a bold, striking look for the exterior was of equal importance –the architects nailed the exterior brief with those clean lines and offset symmetrical goodness.
