Ever wanted to “see” your favorite song, your baby’s first words, or your wedding vows? American company Vibrato makes it possible for you to hang these sounds on your walls. The process is ingenious: a layer of special ink is spread over a clear plastic sheet, then put over a speaker that blasts out songs or sounds. The ink spreads with the vibrations, creating a unique artwork that’s a fairly abstract to others, but holds a special meaning to those in the know.
“Our goal is to capture vibrations as they travel from the very sources and transform them into a visual showpiece,” Vibrato states. “We do this so that you will enjoy seeing sound as much as you enjoy listening to it.”
