Born, raised and schooled in Lisbon, Portuguese designer and illustrator Tiago Galo creates colorful comic book characters that never fail to bring a smile to our face. Good-natured and happy on the surface, each picture is annotated to inject a touch of tongue in cheek humor into the pieces. For example, as two figures representing the good and bad conscience rest on the brim of the hat of the man whose decisions they guide, they ask each other “Is it me or is it you who decides what’s for dinner tonight?”

Calling the series a ‘display of his own psychoanalysis sessions’ he explains, “I’m always getting odd thoughts in the most common places and everyday situations. I tend to observe people a lot everywhere I go and there’s nothing more surreal and fascinating than the way most people behave. Including myself.”
