While there are other ways to get trippy inside a nightclub, Rotterdam-based MVRDV studio have made sure that you don’t even have to step inside their new club to experience some epic mind-bending. Part of a six-building entertainment complex in Seoul, The Imprint is set to house an indoor theme park and nightclub but even before visitors can get inside, the illusory aspects of the architecture should provide some pre-entertainment as The Imprint blurs the lines between art and architecture. A great windowless structure, the building mimics the familiar marks of the neighborhood facades all around it, only the exterior is a mask with the doors, windows and bricks merely and imprint (hence the name), apparently wrapped around the frame and pulled up from the ground at the corner.
