It might not be the ideal year in which to open a new design hotel in the world’s most visited city, but we can always look forward to a future visit to Hotel Les Deux Gares when travel is back on the table. Located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, the hotel was decorated from top to bottom by British artist and interior designer, Luke Edward Hall, whose penchant for color and pattern is indulged fully throughout.
Mixing traditional English decorative style with a bold sense of Parisian flair, the interior is a mixture of antique and modern that fits Edward Hall’s working concept that the Hotel Les Deux Gares could readily be confused ‘with the eccentric home of a bohemian Parisian art collector’. From the pea green and pink lobby (a lobby that we are determined to check into one day in the not so distant future) to clashing French pattered wallpaper and leopard print sofas, the hotel’s interior is a grand escapist dream that we could all do with indulging in.
