Tour this Chic Design-Led Agritour Farmhouse in Italy

Currently, the thought of an agritourism break in the beautiful hills of Vezzano, Italy sounds like the ideal antidote to the extended stay-at-home mundanity of the past two months, so it’s fair to say we’re more than a little envious of the inhabitants of the chic contemporary farmhouse, Agritour, La Dolce Mela by Studio Raro. Circled by green lawns and lush wild landscape, the double volume building is arranged to funnel views of its blessed environment. Constructed in a combination of timber and raw concrete, the farmhouse draws on the surrounding woodland and sheer mountain faces for inspiration, mimicking the colors of the Trentino countryside with its materials.

Beyond the striking ‘double lightbox’ exterior, internal spaces are minimally designed, with the same raw concrete and timber of the façade reflected within. Spacious volumes are arranged to deliver outrageous views and contribute an increased sense of contact with the surrounding landscape, which, despite the chic farmhouse’s appealing angles, remains the star.  More projects by Studio Raro here.
