Created by industrial designer Brady Whitney and his team, the book is made of five puzzles (intimidatingly named Mechanical Iris, Rotating Maze, Geneva Gears, Paradox Sliders and Cryptex Lock), which you are forced to solve before moving on to the next. The story about an apprentice in Da Vinci’s workshop who, like you, is trying to unlock the same Codex, slowly reveals itself.
Made of laser-cut wood and assembled by hand, this is a great combination of artisanship and geekery. The entire project was funded in just six hours on Kickstarter, but you can still sign up on their waiting list.
