The amazing paper landscapes of Daniele Papuli

Never underestimate paper – the humblest of materials – because a few tweaks and loads of imagination can turn it into something powerful. Milan-based artist Daniele Papuli has been fascinated with paper since 1993, and his artworks and site-specific installations show just how a deep his understanding is of the medium: he can coax 10,000 sheets into appearing like rippling waves, or have them flowing like freshly-squeezed paint from a tube. From heavy, compacted volumes or floating ribbons, Papuli creates amazing landscapes and textures out of paper you wouldn’t believe possible. See his amazing portfolio here.
