In the future according to Antireality, we shall sip our lattés from coffee houses perched on steel stilts; we shall swim in swimming pool rooftops and climb dizzying circular staircases to our houses. These surreal renders dangle the possibilities of architecture before us, a teaser of what could come about in the future. Created with the help of the programs Rhino, Vray and Photoshop, Antireality explores the relationship between infrastructure and environment. Through mind-boggling imagery of temples carved into waterfalls, buildings submerged in water, conceptual birdhouses, mysterious archipelagos or brutalist-inspired mini-cities, we are invited into a world where geometry, color, fantasy and function coexist, suggesting that there is no limit to what we can build.
