Gracing a sunny hillside in Orfu, Hungary is a rural dwelling designed by architect Kovacs Zsombor of Hungarian studio 0609 Architects for a family with two children, integrating essential living spaces within a compact, 86 square-meter footprint.
On the ground floor, a kitchen, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom offer cozy retreats for daily living, while a study room with a gallery are installed on the attic level. An outdoor terrace extends from the rear of the home, elevated and levelled by a wood structure from the slope of the hill. Pine wood lines the sturdy brick exterior, a material choice highlighting the home as rustic yet contemporary.
With every inch of the space thoughtfully maximized, this countryside home reflects a commitment to economy, functionality, and common sense without compromising on aesthetics.
