Martin Rak’s Autumn in Slovenia is a Dreamy, Appealing Sight

Peace, tranquillity, beauty… the images that form photographer Martin Rak’s series on Slovenia show a country at the peak of its pulling power in terms of wanderlust. How could anyone resist the mist rising from the water, the sun beams peeking over old houses, or gothic bridges juxtaposed against purple skies? This could be a tourist board advert for the benefits of visiting Slovenia – a stress relieving, calm inducing country to soothe a year-and-a-half’s worth of Covid accelerated anxiety.

Born in Prague where he currently resides, Martin Rak is an award-winning photographer whose work tends towards fine art landscape imagery. A serious photographer since 2009, Rak’s favorite place to explore is Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland, an area of the country that borders the Czech Republic and Germany.
