Korean clothing label Young N Sang was founded by the couple Youngshin and Sanglim in 2017, both of whom studied fashion design at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the U.S. Their collections have a history of utilising elements of Korean society as jump-offs for the clothing they create, and having previously debuted a collection that borrowed the aesthetics of the country’s street vendors, this time around the brand has returned with a collection inspired by the rural South Korean landscapes.
Within the collection, handwoven denim, tweeds, and leisure suits were modelled in a purposefully neutral, natural setting. Alongside the models, the label created an art installation in the countryside, which celebrates the traditional process and techniques in the handwoven garments which are all made in Young N Sang’s own atelier.
