Playful, colorful, and completely unforgettable (in a good way), the Liquid Series by Alissa Volchkova is the result of her fascination with the fluidity of her material of choice — clay. By pouring dyed clay over the perfect round shape of a cast bowl, Volchkova disrupts the aesthetics of traditional tableware while manipulating it into a spontaneous yet completely functional object. As you can imagine, each porcelain bowl is completely unique in form and color, and stacking them on top of one another can yield some pretty interesting graphical compositions. Head over to Volchkova’s website to explore the rest of her work.
