Even the staunchest dog lover would admit that cats gotta live somewhere and when it comes to feline homes, the mean streets are no place for our furry friends. Created for the benefit of the annual Giving Shelter fundraiser, the Architects for Animals charity enlisted the help of various architecture studios to bring to life their cat shelters. Between modernist houses and twine ball spheres, stained glass disco huts and abstract carved wood fishes, all bases have been covered to suit all tastes of cat accommodation.
A serious project – albeit with some amusing designs – the Architects for Animals charity donate outdoor shelters designed to protect needy animals from the elements – and not just cats. Pick your favorite cat cabin from the line-up below.
