Since 1879, Kutani Choemon have been handcrafting traditional tableware and utensils in Ishikawa, Japan. And while tradition is a fairly sacred Japanese trait, so is the ability to keep up with the times.

Through collaborations with various artists, they’ve been incorporating pop culture icons and symbols into products to create a modern tableware line using a time-tested craft. Skateboarding, drumming and boombox-toting Japanese characters decorate bowls, teacups and chopstick rests in a perfect marriage of old and new. Check out their site to order your own.
