A lovely indoor garden and natural wood techniques highlight the beautiful interplay between culture and environment in the Teak House by architecture studio Pham Thanh Huy. Located in Ngoc Thanh in Vietnam, the home was renovated using teak wood and rough stone as its main materials. Too add more height to the first floor, the architects deepened the foundation of the home and utilized the space with a mezzanine.
“Teak House is a mix of elements of status quo, architectural form and use — and architect’s peak in finding a new style,” states the project brief. “It also demonstrates the obsession with wood working techniques and teak wood – a solution facade for tropical climate, and a good material for finishing works as well as interior furniture.”
