Brazilian visual artist Tatiane Freitas gives broken furniture a second chance at life in her series My Old New Chair. Freitas completes broken wooden chair parts with translucent acrylic, reviving their functionality in a visually interesting way. In her artist’s statement, Freitas claims to have always wanted to create pieces “which will endure the harshness of time, and therefore bring to their new owners the memories evoked in her, many lost in history.” See more of her work here.
