Are you finding these images by artist and photographer Gustav Willeit strangely familiar, but can’t properly place them? That’s because they’re mirrored images of actual locations, manipulated into perfect symmetry which ironically skews its perspective. Titled Perspe from the German word perspektive, the series is Willeit’s “programmatic statement alluding to the composition work, which is based on a simulation that fully exploits the opportunities offered by digital technology.” The suggestiveness of these surreal landscapes throw us off course, leaving us to ponder these fascinating illusions.
