In a move that second-guessed the pent-up angst built up during enforced lockdowns that have lasted nearly a year, the Chinese ministry of culture and tourism and its state media news recently talked of the population embracing a period of ‘Revenge Travel’ to coincide with the eight-day holiday for China’s National Day. Well, we’re all for sticking it to Covid with a little ‘revenge travel’ ourselves and nowhere has caught our eye more this week than a cute neighborhood inn a short way from the city of Charleston, South Carolina.
Having taken lockdown as an opportunity to rebrand and relaunch, the Post House Inn returns with a faultless, quaint, Accidental (on purpose) Wes Anderson aesthetic created by Stitch Design Co.. Think on-point branding (including baseball caps that you can wear away with you), cozy furniture, warm wood panelling, and decorative florals in rooms. Travel may be off the agenda right now but if you want a southern American escape, the Post House is one to add to the list for when the world opens up.
