Plait du Jour is a humorous look at the unusual relationship between hair and food. Renaissance-style wigs were forged from spaghetti and bread dough and set against a dramatic old master’s style backdrop.

This fun project was conceptualised by art director and still-life stylist Victoria Tunstall, who has a knack for forecasting trends and coming up with stunning visual concepts. Tunstall collaborated with food stylist Lucy-Ruth Hathaway, whose quirky and refreshing approach to food we’ve featured here, and photographer Louise Hagger, a first placer in the 2017 PDN Taste Awards who has explored inventive artistic themes ranging from Soviet-era kitchens to vegetable bird carvings.
