An update on the typical ph-type house common in Buenos Aires, the PH Superi home adapts the volumes and supporting structures of its former self and unlocks its own potential. Where once multiple housing units were located in the same lot, the PH Superi house takes over the entire spot, utilizing newly installed concrete beams and columns to alter and expand its floorplan. The rewards of this new structure can be found in the relationship between the interior and exterior spaces; no longer shut off from one another, the surrounding courtyard terraces and the open plan layout of the home flow harmoniously.
The two-story home features terraces on both levels along with a rooftop garden laid over a supporting concrete slab. The green roof contributes insulation and water retention to the home, while offering its residents a secluded spot to take in the views that look out over the neighborhood. The PH Superi house was designed by Buenos Aires’ Juan Manuel Galleano + Junta Arquitectas.
