Morfeus Arkitekter Norwegian Rest Stop

Could this Norwegian Rest Stop be Home to the World’s Most Elegant Public Toilet?

They say it’s as much about the journey as the destination and when you’re cruising the scenic highways of Norway with rest stops like this to stop in on, we’d have to concur. Without doubt ranking high on the top five public toilets we’ve ever seen, this mirrored Norwegian rest stop designed by Oslo studio Morfeus Arkitekter is located on the coastline of Andoya and offers passing motorists the chance to take a pit stop in a place that could pass as a Brutalist home fresh off the pages of Architectural Digest.

Built to reflect the rocky landscape that peppers much of the scenic road route that runs past it, the angular concrete structure features a wall of one-way mirrored glass allowing users to gaze out on the terrain in total privacy when inside. With free standing benches and a picnic area to enjoy the sea and mountain views, this has all the makings of a destination for a quirky day trip.
