Moscow-based artist and fashion designer Venera Kazarova turns garbage into high fashion in her series of styled photographs Recycling Into Art.
To illustrate ‘luxury with simple things from everyday life’, the models pose in a haute couture photo shoot decked in fantastical costumes and headpieces made of disposable materials: plastic wrap, garbage bags, straws, plastic utensils, foil or bubble wrap. Paired with glitter-covered skin and theatrical poses, Kazarova bridges the gap between garbage and glamour, showing us how even trash can be elevated into art, with the right approach.
Kazarova, who also creates clothes for theater and contemporary choreography, is inspired by nature forms, dreams and fairy tales. See more of her amazing work here.
