Casa Seminario stands on elevated terrain in Yerba Buena, Argentina, a thoughtfully crafted home seeking fluidity and connection between its living spaces and surroundings. Etéreo Arquitectos used courtyards, double-height ceilings, and natural light entryways as strategic design elements to create a subdued backdrop for light and nature to take center stage.
The main living area is an open-plan space clad in wood and exposed concrete, a combination that exudes warmth with a contemporary touch. Boundaries are blurred by sliding glass doors, which open to subtly merge the indoor spaces with a glass-trimmed outdoor terrace.
The level below is designated for the bedrooms, a gym, a children’s playroom and the laundry area. It connects to the outdoor patio, gardens, and a lap pool — an inviting area for rest and relaxation.
Housing the master suite and a home office, the highest level is considered the heart of the house. Luminous and serene, it commands impressive panoramic views from the bedroom balcony and, even better, from the rooftop lookout accessed via a winding metal staircase.
