If capturing the northern lights — one of the most unpredictable natural phenomenons — is a game of chance, then we can consider Christian Kneise one very lucky individual. The Leipzig-based photographer has been documenting the magnificent Northern Lights of Lapland on and off since 2013. Cosmic Call is an enchanting collection of aurora borealis images dancing in the sky over dramatic landscapes: charming cabins, tents lit from the inside, a clump of trees, the tip of a mountain. The series is a testament to his professed love for the outdoors, especially that of the vast and untouched north.
