If international giant Ikea is the mother of Scandinavian interior and design, then Hay Living might just be its precocious offspring. One offers mass market, often budget design, and the other takes a smaller scale, more holistic approach to helping the world make their homes a better place.
Coming together for their first full collaboration, Swedish Ikea and Danish Hay have produced a collection of pieces built to “challenge people’s perception of Ikea quality and design”. While Hay operates at a higher price point to Ikea in most aspects of their range, the new Ypperlig collection displays the beauty of basics, affording everyone a chance to make hay while the price point allows. Here are our favorite pieces from the collection.
