Architecture studio Taller Ken brings the tropics to Saul Bistro’s Madero, a Guatemalan café-restaurant where the sun seemingly never fails to shine. The immense space is fitted with exposed steel framework and high skylight ceilings. Folding shutters on 3 of its sides can open up completely to the exterior of the restaurant, creating a convivial, outdoor atmosphere for its diners.

What catches the attention are the colors: local patterns, materials and textures were used to simulate a tropical ambiance, and coupled with tall palm trees and hanging plants, we couldn’t think of a better place to nurse and after-work cocktail.
