If architecture and pastry had a lovechild, it would be a cake coming from Ukranian pastry chef Dinara Kasko‘s kitchen.
Based on the precision and structure of Kasko’s drool-worthy creations, it’s no surprise to learn that she worked as an architect, designer and 3D visualizer before pursuing a culinary career.
Architecture is as much of an ingredient as flour or sugar when it comes to her work. She uses geometric construction principles such as triangulation, the Voronoi diagram, and biomimicry when building her cakes. And as if those fancy terms aren’t enough to impress you, let it be known that she even makes her own silicon cake moulds.
