Matt Stevens Good Movies as Old Books

Designer Matt Stevens Interprets his Favorite Films as Old Book Covers

Combining his love of film and old books, illustrator and designer Matt Stevens took it into his own capable hands to combine both in a fantastic series guaranteed to draw cinephiles and bibliophiles like moths to a flame. Good Movies as Old Books started out as a way for Stevens as an exercise to help him out of a creative funk. Experimenting new mediums and techniques, he started adding more covers to his growing list, piquing the interest and enthusiasm of movie and book fans online.

With almost 60 pieces done, Stevens has launched a Kickstarter to transform his work into a physical book. Slated to feature a total of 100 book cover illustrations, the book will be hardbound and produced by one of the most reputable book printers in the US. He also envisions offering individual prints that can be proudly hung on your walls. Support the project here

Stevens heads his own design and illustration focused studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. His client list includes Esquire, Nike, Google, Netflix and The New York Times, among others. Visit his website for more.
