Perched on one of the highest points in Campos do Jordão in Brazil, the stunning TKN House by architectural firm OTP Arquitetura is designed specifically to take in the sprawling views of the city from the top, with two interconnected living areas at the upper and lower floors.
TKN House is oriented towards the west, warding off the hot daytime sun while facing the sunset and evening views of the city below. The lower floor houses living areas for the residents’ children, with a large veranda facing the view.
The upper floor is a large structure supported by ‘V-pillars’ extending towards the view. This section contains the main access, kitchen, dining, and living areas of the house. One side is retrofitted with supported glass panels, allowing guests even more views as they make their way through the different sections and towards the large balcony area.
From the outside, monolithic walls are complemented with soft wood accents and a roof elevated on steel-reinforced glass that allow for even more natural light to enter, while leading the eye to framed views of the blue sky. More of the studio’s work on their website, and follow them on Instagram.
