The work of freelance photographer Aurelija Karaliunaite centers on contextual and atmospheric portraiture. Often set amidst nature, her experimental visuals show strong connections between her subject, their emotions and the surroundings.
After moving to Cambridge from her native Lithuania, Karaliunaite started exploring and developing her skills as a portraitist through commercial and personal artistic pursuits. An avid traveler, she is influenced by new cultures and experiences which translate into her work. Suspended between reality and fiction, she completes her experimental compositions with her use of dreamy, subdued tones and colors, which play an important part in her visual narratives.
