WAFAI is a Turin-based architecture and design studio exploring the boundaries of landscapes and interiors through various projects and conceptual renders. The impressive Lake House is one such example of their unique architectural vision. The proposed design of this luxury villa was inspired by the landscape around Switzerland’s Lake Tülersee, leading the studio to envision a structural profile dominated by gentle curves, integrated in both the building’s exteriors and interior.
Glassed facades provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape while letting in abundant amount of sunshine into the home as well. The home’s pièce de resistance is the dramatic, contemporary curved staircase that stands in the middle of the double-height open space living area. Towards the back, the kitchen and dining area look out over a tranquil lake, while the living area opens up to a swimming pool where inhabitants get to drink in the serenity and calm of this stunning getaway.
