In his latest plant-based conceptual installation, Monsieur Plant aka Christophe Guinet explores the relationship between music and plants in SpinPlant. The series features six gorgeous flower and plant arrangements sitting on vintage turntables, spinning prettily to the rhythm of the music playing. Showing the unique familiarity and closeness he shares with plants and nature in general, Monsieur Plant pairs each bouquet and song perfectly.
Known for his botanical compositions that touch upon issues of consumerism, industrialisation and ecology, the French artist blends elements of pop culture and his horticultural prowess into ethereal creations. From vintage computers turned into terrariums to plant-covered Nike shoes, he urges us to go back to the source and let ourselves be nourished spiritually and artistically by nature… a simple message that he hopes will eventually take root.
