Addressing the call for beauty and function in everyday objects, Japanese design studio Nendo steps up to the plate to deliver Skeleton, a set of cutlery featuring a skeletal frame. Designed for the Belgian furniture and home accessories brand Valerie Objects, the set of spoons, forks, knives and teaspoons bear a notch near its base, reducing the utensil’s surface material while still retaining its functionality. While still serving its purpose of getting food off the plate and into our mouths, the unorthodox design also allows the utensils to hook onto various surfaces and tableware such as a cup rings or serving dishes. Coming with their own dedicated wall hooks and stands, we’d be as eager as the next person to have them in our homes.
