The Sweden-based multidisciplinary studio Kunsik, headed by South Korean designer Kunsik Choi, designed a series of furniture for the flagship Adidas Originals store in Seoul. Embodying the active, urban spirit of the brand, the designer was inspired by Stapelbäddsparke, a local Malmö skateboarding park near his studio. The series, titled Boarding Furniture, features couches, chairs, coffee tables and side tables that mimic the slopes and curves of skatepark half pipes and ramps. Clean, minimalist and understated, the collection is crafted using oak strips, textile and glass, held together by brass screws… a discreet nod to the ubiquitous skate scene in Malmö.
