Photographer and visual content creator Helin Bereket has been exploring the dimensions between architecture and art, having studied both disciplines in her native Istanbul and her adopted country, Berlin. It was only in 2015, after the creation of her Instagram account, did she start focusing solely on photography as a career.
Her series Shapes and Colors is a collection of ordinary things seen from a different perspective. Influenced by her architectural background, Bereket’s subjects reflect her interests and artistic sensibilities. Simple and minimalist compositions, geometric shapes, colors and contrasts are elements that often pop up in her work, either separately or together. Without limiting herself to one particular style, Bereket’s art is in constant evolution, making her art such a joy to keep coming back to.
