Most of photographer Patrick Warner‘s work revolves around Montana, the city he grew up in, and how its geography adapts to seasonal and cultural changes. In his series PM/AM, Warner captures the beauty of Missoula at night. With the soothing glow of neon lights and under the cover of creeping fogs, he presents poetic images of hometown: empty parking lots, deserted crossroads, light-splashed asphalt.
“Since I picked up photography, night photos have always piqued my interest,” Warner says. “I wanted to capture the things I saw around me in this way during the night time when everything takes on a different vibe.” He cites photographers like Todd Hildo and Patrick Joust as influences, but his work carries the sentiment and intimacy of someone who knows a place like the back of his hand — his images are wholly his, and they are all incredible.
