There’s nothing traditional or austere about Molecure Pharmacy in Taichung, Taiwan. If anything, it’s an emphatic 180-degree turn from the drugstores of today.
The stunning light and airy 120-square meter space was created by the Taiwanese architecture firm Waterfrom Design. The entire space is fitted with elements inspired by healing, science and nature: a table base made from a century-old tree, beach pebble-studded walls, a spiral staircase reminiscent of a DNA molecule’s double-helix structure… an amazing venue breaks down our preconceived notions of how a pharmacy should look like. Frankly, the idea of of flying to Taiwan to purchase a bottle of aspirin in this drugstore has never been more appealing …
