Gym time is probably the last thing on anyone’s mind during holiday, but The Newt Hotel’s contemporary take on gym space will have you packing your running gear alongside your swimsuits. Architectural practice Invisible Studio placed the gym in the middle of the hotel’s garden, fitting an entire facade with a dramatic, 15-meter wide glass panel.

To ensure that the building blended in with its surroundings, rammed stone walls were used in its construction to yield a look of contemporary and classic. Presented as a simple, rectangular structure, the studio kept their design free of frills and superfluous details. The gym equipment were angled to face the green, idyllic landscape, providing a natural and refreshing visual while sweating away on a treadmill. Now if only all gyms had the same view…
