A decidedly futuristic-looking library of all time recently opened in Tianjin, China, and by the looks of its jaw-dropping architecture, it’s going to be hard to get any reading done.

Tianjin’s Binhai Cultural Center, designed by Dutch architecture firm MVRDV and the Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute, aims to promote the city as a cultural district. And from the images below, it seems like everything in this library is over the top: its expansive 362,744 square feet floor space, terraced bookshelves capable of holding 1.2 million books, the sphere-shaped atrium, and the floor-to-ceiling windows. Tianjin Library Tianjin Library Tianjin Library Tianjin Library Tianjin Library Tianjin Library Tianjin LibraryPhotography © Ossip van Duivenbode via Dezeen
