Erik Witsoe is an American photographer based in Warsaw, Poland. Having taken up photography in adulthood at the trough of a creative dip, he discovered a passion for the stories that he found, camera in hand, unravelling on the streets around him. Moving around his environment, allowing himself to stumble on fleeting moments that unfold in front of him, his style has a beautiful simplicity to it.
His latest project, There Goes the Sun, sets his adopted home of Warsaw at the heart of it. The buildings, the people, the asphalt, and the parks come bathed in the shadow of the low sunshine of golden hour, the glowing light almost dazzling the viewer while informing us that summer is indeed on its way out.
