Like many of you out there,  I’ve come across so many ugly and ghastly-looking coat racks that make me wish that I had a coat – or anything else – to throw over it just to get it out of my sight. So it’s a pleasure to come across this modern, elegant coatrack by Krakow-based furniture designer Alicja Prussakowska. Tilia is a freestanding coat hanger and storage, inspired by the movement of grass in the wind. The sculptural furniture piece is made of seven vertical wood hangers propped up on a curved seating bench. It can be said that Tilia puts all other coatracks to shame. The only problem I have with it: it’s too beautiful to hide behind any coats. At most, I’d hang a hat or a scarf on it.
