AGORA has announced its 50 finalists competing for the title of Best Photo of the Year in this year’s AGORA Awards 2019. AGORA, an iOS and Android application that encourages and enables photographers to join the biggest international photo contests worldwide, has garnered a loyal community of 3.5 million users from 193 countries. Through weekly international photography contests, which offer either cash prizes or photo gear, the app seeks to humanise photography by creating a community “where people everywhere can participate in the creation and the curation of visual content.”
On their third year, AGORA Awards 2019 is offering a $25,000 prize to the “single most-voted photo of the year, without any photography genre categories”. The winner will be announced on November 5, 2019 in AGORA’s birthplace, Barcelona, and will be live streamed as well. See the rest of the finalist entries here.
