Located in Dubai’s Jumeirah neighbourhood, the ZAAZ Wellness & Beauty Spa ticks all the boxes of what comprises an ultimate hub of relaxation and pampering. The homegrown brand, which offers Moroccan beauty and wellness treatments, tasked interior design studio VSHD Design Dubai to create an environment matching its Moroccan and Berber heritage.
Across two floors, visitors profit from harmonious and calming interiors, which mix minimal modern design with touches of traditional southern Moroccan architectural elements.
Special attention was paid to the smallest details, with the studio procuring specific materials and heritage items from the source itself. Tadelakt, a waterproof plaster from Morocco, line the second floor hammam; custom-designed Zellij tiles recreate the authentic North African spa experience. Subtle and tasteful without an uproar of embellishments, the spa focuses on the discreet beauty of its materials, lighting, lines and proportions — a rightful example of how less is more.
