A handcrafted watch with a hint of whiskey

The American Pacific Northwest continues to bequeath its gift of craft beer, hipster style, and sustainable living to the modern world. And while some are less than receptive with the reputation it carries, there’s no denying that this culture fosters a homegrown instinct of reinvention and resourcefulness. Original Grain watches stand out as one that deserves respect. Brothers Andrew and Ryan Beltran have created a selection of exquisite timepieces, made of stainless steel and wood from used American Oak barrels that were used to age bourbon and other spirits.

All are handcrafted and unique. Each watch features a different grain pattern, whether it be rosewood, maple, vera, or sandalwood – set within a stainless steel frame. And if you look closely, the steel band design is reminiscent of the oak barrels it takes inspiration from.

With the success of these finely crafted works of art, Original Grain has successfully lobbied an impressive variation – the DUO. This comes with a custom strap that allows you to connect your Apple Watch to your OG timepiece!

I honestly don’t know how I’d fare with two watches strapped to my wrist, but it’s a design I wouldn’t mind trying out.
