Sparking comparisons in our minds with New York’s Flatiron building, OOF! Architecture’s Acute House is a cute piece of engineering that makes the most of an awkward space in a downtown suburb. With severe limitations, comes intense creativity and fitting a single-family residence onto a triangular shaped plot of land meant only one thing – a triangular house.
Located in Melbourne Australia, the slim-line, tight points of the building make it look all façade and nothing much else, however, the interior shots below tell a different story. Space might be tight and corners might be plenty but on a design level, it works, while looking super-livable from this side of the screen. Exploiting the lack of space, the triangular plot went from weakness to strength, lending the home an unmistakable star quality.
