A minimally furnished space that inspires maximum efficiency, this gorgeous office in Barcelona is the latest co-working concept to hit the city post-Covid. Operating under the co-working brand Cloudworks GV, the space offers not only a central and convenient work location, but fantastic 360 degree views of the city from its penthouse perch as well.
Spanish design studio Mesura visualised a contemporary open-plan office, banishing walls and borders except for its built-in pillars to encourage mingling and conversation between teams and peers. The center of the office space becomes an informal, social hub, with several glass-covered rooms at its fringes for more private meetings or gatherings. A sprinkling of contemporary furniture are set up across the entire room; ranging from long tables to comfortable low-slung sofas, they offer both formal and casual environments for teams to gather around in according to the mood and urgencies of work matters.
But it’s the co-working space’s terrace and wrap-around glass windows that arguably remain its two most impressive features. The outdoor space and panoramic city views provide a constant connection to nature, a neutral area to retreat to over the course of a normal workday. It shows the brand’s and designer’s understanding of the ever-evolving needs of clients and workspaces, yielding an environment that promotes function, identity and well-being.
Aside from workspaces, Mesura also designs residences, like the charming Mediterranean home, Casa Ter.
