LIFEBOAT: Helping Keep Artists Afloat During the COVID Pandemic

Now more than ever, our support for creative artists during the current pandemic is needed.  Already a volatile industry to begin with, photographers are now dealing with the aftermath of COVID-19: from assignments and projects being cancelled or postponed for the safety of our everyone, it’s been a particularly big blow to the incomes of the creative community.

Enter LIFEBOAT, an aptly-named platform connecting photographers with individuals who want to support their work. The initiative was started by Mexico-based documentary photographer Jake Naughton who, suffering a setback in his professional work himself, wanted to create a resource to help out other artists in the same boat. Designed to provide creatives with additional resources during this crucial period, LIFEBOAT offers a wide array of archival prints and limited edition books which you can order, and will be shipped by the artists themselves as soon as their current situation allows. It’s a timely and poignant way to acknowledge the work and efforts of the cultural storytellers who shape and influence our visual aesthetics and tastes. And as you’re getting a great piece of art in return, it’s nothing but a win-win situation. Head over to LIFEBOAT and start ordering!
