LensCulture just wrapped up their second Art Photography Awards 2019 competition, unveiling six winners, 25 finalists and 7 jurors picks across three categories: Series, Single Image and Jurors’ Picks. Contestants from 17 countries shared their work, an inspiring reflection of the LensCulture community’s contemporary creativity and innovation in the field of photography.
“I found many submissions refreshing and intriguing, giving photography new directions while some submissions enhance the traditional genres such as portraiture and landscape,” says Yasufumi Nakamori, Senior curator of International Art at the Tate Modern. “I also found the competition’s global reach impressive.”
